Why is the alpha Romeo Giulia fastest sedan in the world?
wouldnt the w213 or new m5 beat that car?
It’s a smaller car. Way lighter than the M5/e63s genre. Bigger sedans are not meant to put down crazy track numbers. They are meant to be a practical luxury car that has lots of power and are faster in a straight line than around a track. If you are worried about autocross number the Gulia/M3/M4/C63 are better cars for that.

Look at #43 & #57. I realize this is a Car & Driver Lighting Lap comparison & not the Ring but it does illustrate that the big fat E63S can put down a decent road course time.

60 tw means that tire probably lasts ... not much.

As others have said it is a quick car, much lighter, good tires and balanced handling. I don't see it as a competitor to the E63. Kind of a 'tweener in size between C/E class or 3/5er. Still no quicker sedan out there, esp in its price range.
Pirelli Trofeo R is another 60 UTQG tire (Corsas come on the Giulia) - When it was introduced on the 5th Gen Camaro z28, they had to leave the bead seating edges of the wheels unfinished because under braking the tire would spin ON THE RIM from friction with the road surface.
Corsa, Trofeo, Pilot Sport Cup 2 are all streetable R compounds
Next level would be purple crack hoo hoo a7/r7 and your lesser performing "slicks"
Driving in straight lines and worrying about 1/4 mi. times is not what these cars are about.. A clapped out Honda Civic with some work will smoke the best AMG E63s in the 1/4 for the price of a AMG turbo up grade alone.
Find a mountain pass / canyon and enjoy the best sedan/wagon on the road..
