Suspension issue..

The car was fine up the hill but after a lunch stop [the car had been sitting for an hour] on startup everything was fine until I was a 1/4 mi. up the road and then I get a warning message "Do not exceed 20 mph"..
A few start and stops to see if it was just a hiccup in the system the car remained slammed in the front left.
I went into the trunk and pulled the compressor relay and control module waited 10 sec and plugged them back in and the car was back to level again.
I made it home but the next morning it didn't hold the air so I brought it in..
Leaky air spring, still waiting for a replacement from Mercedes...sad

Car is lowered, airmatic plus is very stiff. Air pressure is higher in strut than designed. Hitting a dip at speed could create stress on the seals. Or it could simply be a bad strut.
Ours is lowered as well but when lowering suspensions, some of the dynamics change. No biggie either way...

The car has been lowered for 7 months without any problems...

These are wear items and should be in stock...
Wish I could say the same for my faulty oil gauge, which I have now been waiting 4 months for a fix...
Yes I am considering other cars that do not have air suspension, note, geometry is different on each and every one of those cars. Porsche Turbo (for eg) has air and rides much much smoother than the E63 yet can keep up in the twisties.
They originally checked everything for tightness but that apparently didn't fix the issue, so they ordered a new rear strut and replaced the one that seemed to be causing the issue. Apparently the noise was still there even after the strut was replaced. Said the noise was there when the car was cold but then went away after it was driven a bit. Next the tech removed the anti-sway bar and did more inspection of the rear suspension components.
At that point I had the option to have them reassemble the car and take it for the weekend or let them keep it and continue working on it. Decided to take the car, and to my surprise I'm not hearing any more clunking. Maybe twice in the last few days, and even then I'm not really sure it was "the" clunk.
Fingers crossed.
Stop vehicle
vehicle too low
stopped the car, did a visual check, left front suspension (passenger side, ours are RHD) appeared collapsed n sitting much lower than others.
Towed back to factory, diagnosed left front air suspension literally exploded (that's why the loud bang). Replaced new one within 1.5 week, a demo e63s was given while waiting. So really not much to complain due to the excellent customer service except the fact that i couldn't stop thinking what if it exploded when I was pushing the car at high speed instead of 15km/hr.
