Really, good to know. I am trying to get an idea as to when to sell my current car. Don’t want to be in a rental for too long. What’s the typical timeframe a VIN is populated?

Typically a month or so before completion so yours is behind schedule.

Good morning, Yesterday MB announced the MSRP for the 2023 GLC 300. So when it gets finally gets to the port it wouldn't sit at the dock collecting dust.

My car had a build date of 3/3. If all is on track the car should be built by now. Looking to see if a ship has been assigned and apx. arrival date.

One other thing - planning on a lease. Where do I find the MF & Residual. Last lease I found after the fact the dealer inflated the figures.

You are correct, at port since 3/6 but no ship assignment yet.

MF and Residual will be applied with numbers from the month you take delivery.

Hi @CincyMBGuy , I'm back again with another request forW1N0J6EB7PG146853. My dealer has all but stopped communicating and MB corporate has been no help. We are going on 3 and a half months of my car sitting at port waiting for a ship. I'm beyond frustrated and thinking about going a different way all together. Any updates you could provide about statuses/NetStar or recommendations on contacts with MB would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a loss. Thank you.

Unfortunately I'm not much more help. I'm only able to see what they do, the car hasn't moved yet.

Our GLC43 has been in the same boat, sitting "produced not shipped" for quite a while as well.

Shahul, thanks so much for listing this all out for me. I've got all the options for the most part - DA2 driver assistance package, DA5 multimedia package, DC2 AMG performance studio package, to name a few. Here's my full list. I bet its something with the black optics package.. not as prevalent as night package so that may be it.. or a module for the driver assist. Ive gotten 2 GT63 (coupes) sedans in and of course the one I sold is still sitting in Germany.. but waiting for tires oddly for the cross forged wheels.

your dealer can call his rep and see whats missing.

The ordering process is a pain the last couple years, I was working with MBUSA the last several weeks and got some changes done to the ordering system so maybe will help in the future (validation buttons and color coding) , but not for cars already built or locked in

Your saying that MB has such a large supply of unsold 2022 and is going to let 100s of dealer 2023 allotment cars sit at a dock(s) collecting dust. That doesn’t make to much financial sense to me. I really hope your wrong. I have had to extend my lease two times already. Thank goodness MBFS hasn’t objected.

My car was produced in July and made it to the VPC in September of last year. I finally got my car on December 7. I know the frustration.

It's a new model. MB has a release date of early Q2 for the car so they will not be seen before then.

How odd! I had a GLC 43 that sat at the VPC for months before making its way to the dealer a few hundred miles away. It was certainly an exercise in patience. But so worth it!
