MY19 Launch Schedule

I’m in the same boat and about to pull the trigger on an IN STOCK M5. The only thing holding me back so far is, I’m a man of my word and gave a deposit on a CUSTOM car. But the lack of communication and overall sense of unknown by the whole organization is about to override my morals.

Explain to me why MB would follow a schedule releasing vehicles to dealerships to fill their lots(with unsold cars), but not release vehicles that are already sold- such as all of us waiting for our E63s?

Only e classes I'm getting are 2019 e300 and 450 sedans... Only other 19s I've recieved are cla/gla, s450, c coupe/cab, and glc300...
Same issue delays on e coupe/cab, glc43/63, s560, c43/63, amg gt variants

I think they are certifying models to comply with new emissions standards in Europe and they started with the broader-non AMG models and are working their way to the more niche ones, i.e., AMGs. Hence why the 450s and 550s are being released before 43s, 53s and 63s.

What’s weird is that there are ‘19 E63S on the road in EU already...

Yea need the broader market cars released before the niche. Im actually interested in driving a 53 with the eq boost (electric compressor/supercharger)

Doesn’t Michael Kubler work for Mercedes and build AMG engines? I would think he has access to cars, parts, etc. that others probably don’t. It’s not like the general populous has these cars right?

Also, others have been doing walk throughs of 2019s on showroom floors—sales guys, YouTube car review wannabes etc.

At the end of the day, I could speculate for a million reasons why they haven’t decided to release the already made E63s yet, but it doesn’t change the reality that they haven’t.

And? Athletes that are sponsored by the Nike/Jordan brand get sneakers before they are released to the general public so I don’t see why certain people with inside relationships with Mercedes wouldn’t get certain cars before everyone else. Now, if the 2019s are indeed on showroom floors across Europe ready to be sold and driven off the lot, that’s a different story.

Literally putting the release out of mind. The car is at the port. Will be delivered whenever it is. Only saying that non insiders / non famous guys are putting boring videos of cars that are in showroom floors YouTube. Whether it’s German regs, MBUSA, or that ******* Easter Bunny holding things up doesn’t matter.

Oh 100%. Totally agree with you. Just telling you what I’ve seen whilst sitting on the toilet browsing social media...

But I won’t lie, I’m antsy to get this car. So, as I’ve said before, you’re definitely not alone. And I saw Kubler’s IG, he says it’s a 2019 E63S, so there’s not question at least from that point of view.

So, does anyone have an E63 on a boat right now? Sounds like they are either (1) currently sitting at the port/VPC or (2) have not been built yet. I was just curious to see if MB has slowed down production on the E63 to address the delay issue.

Those are new models though. The 2019 E63s don’t need to have CARB certification again since they aren’t different engine/emissions-wise than the 2018s. There were no E450s or SL450s (I don’t think) before 2019.

SL450 did exist prior, uses the current biturbo V6 like the current S450 and the older GLE450 coupe. The confusing bit is the usage of the 3.0L TT V6 versus usage of the new I6 single turbo.

Shahul, you hear anything through the proverbial grapevine if more models have been released before they were originally scheduled to?

A e450 buyer mentioned (in an S560 thread) that his dealer said all non-AMG63 cars have been released (not sure if this includes 43/53 cars).

EDIT: Seems like the S560 got released, which would be ahead of schedule.
