I'm currently driving a 2010 C63 and thinking of a 2019 E63. I've searched the threads about some being unhappy with the stiffness of the suspension, but it's tough to see real comparisons. I've been able to drive an E43 and the longer wheel base over the C63 made that car feel pretty good, but I'm sure the E63 is different. There are no E63s around here to drive.

Has anybody gone from a W204 C63 to an E63? If so, I'd love to hear your comparison.

Not a direct comparison but I drive a w205 c63s (generally regarded as stiffer than the w204), and I find the e63s a decent bit softer. But it's still a stiff car even on comfort, no way around it. I don't think you can compare the e43 to it.

The E63 rides fine, it is a little firm but good overall. The lack of lean and general smoothness is better than the E400.

I had a 2013 C63 with the P31 performance pack, limited slip and 18" open spoke type wheels. It rode on 245/35/18 PSS up front and 265/40/18 in back. I believe that they were 3mm larger in diameter than the stock tires and it still was rather stiff but not overly so in my opinion. I sold it to purchase my E63s wagon and this machine rides much better in my opinion but of course it's not softly sprung. Even in sport+ I feel that the ride is fine even over not so good roads. The car has not, to date, ever become teeth chattering harsh or become upset by differing road conditions. Oh yes, it will out accelerate, handle and stop (I have the carbon ceramic brakes) better than the w204 C63. The E63s is a pretty amazing car especially considering its heft (my wagon is 4669 lbs). But I do miss the sound of that 6.2L engine firing up in the morning and twisting at 7k rpm.

Thanks for the opinions guys. I'm sure the E63 will be fine. I'm not expecting it to be soft, even on Comfort setting.

this is why I’m reluctant to sell my C63 507! And the rather worrying number of issues with the E63. Perhaps just due to first model year?
