Race mode
Hi,
I just got an e63 s 2018 and I was very excited about the new 4MATIC+ technology where you can turn the car into a classic rear wheel drive AMG (aka DRIFT MODE).
The thing is that you need to have the car set on "RACE" mode and my car only goes as far as SPORT+. I thought that this would be standard on the "S" model. Any ideas whether or not is actually is standard or if there is a possibility or an explanation as to why I don't have RACE (and essentially DRIFT) mode.
Thanks for the help in advance

go fast grocery getter wagon
car is in operating temp
select race mode
turn off traction control
engage manual gear mode
lift both gear change paddle at the same time
you will be prompted for drift mode and lift right paddle to confirm
If your car does not have "race" mode for you to engage, then you will need to speak to dealer on this missing function
select race mode

2018 E63S AMG
My car is in the shop at the moment so I can't try this out, but I'm pretty sure you can put the car in Race mode while the temps are still blue on the graphic on the dash.
But I think that's correct that you can't do race starts or drift mode till it's warmed up.
