Hey, out of curiosity guys. Currently Interested in getting into another E63s but I know that the options in terms of colors are limited on the interior. I once heard that there was this bespoke program that Mercedes offered that allowed you to customize the car to your liking. I can't seem to find exactly anything online since I don't know the name. Is there anyone that has information on this?

 

Your looking for AMG performance studio/ Designo, don't think the W213 has any customization options available yet state side.

 

The following came from an AMG Product Manager during a chat session several months back on the AMG Private Lounge:

Everything at Sindelfingen and Graz production - S, E, CLS, G-class and GT - is available with custom options for both exterior paints and interior upholsteries. If the exterior paint is in the current or historical Mercedes-Benz palette, this makes it easier to secure the color. These custom options typically add 8 weeks to the production time, and your dealer can assist with this.

 

 

In my country I ask dealers if there was such an option but received a definite no...

I hate the lack of interior color options. Even the new A class has more nice options. It's absurd.

 

A friend of mine ordered his W213 2018 E63s in a custom color exterior and interior. We live in socal, so it definitely is possible. He did pay a premium though. I think his total bill was around 160k.

 

Out of curiosity, what were the exterior and interior colors he selected? For me, I think an E63 wagon in Sintered Bronze would be phenomenal.

 

I tried that but the challenge is to find a knowledgeable salesman. Sorry, but my experience with MB dealerships was not good and I had to educate mostly elderly sales people about options and compatibility.

 

 

Yeah that's a frustrating reality I experienced too when I was looking into the AMG. The good news was that I found a dealer whose AMG specialist was a young guy in his 20s, total car nut. He knew every single option, package, etc. to the point where if you asked "Hey I like this let's include it" he'd know exactly what other options or packages the choice would preclude. Like a human configurator.

 

He has an AMG GTR which is in the hell magno green color. So he ordered his E63S in the same color to match it. Think that alone was 10k. His interior wasn't a complete different color, I believe he did black and got some yellow accents, possibly stitching and such. I haven't seen the interior actually, just going off memory. I remember his MSRP was $158,XXX. I wish he was on these forums.

 

 

He is constantly in and out of the country on trips, I texted him asking for pics but he hasn't replied on the phone number I have with him. As soon as I get pics from him, I will post them on this thread!
