Volume of sales compared to M5
Is that because you have to like... strongarm the dealer? I've heard of dealers playing the "this is our best offer" price all month long.
Are you just super up front? MSPR is X, I want X% off, I am willing to pay $x/mo? I just don't ever feel like I have any leverage. I learned my lesson young to stop asking for $20/mo in a loop at the Lexus dealer when they kicked me out and told me to kick rocks... but at MB I've got a guy looking me right to my face saying "this is our best aggressive deal forward" and it's 0% off sticker.
On top of that, I really can't find a '19 E63 sedan anywhere in the country that has the 3D Surround System and massage seats. I'm surprised it's this hard in this day and age to skim Autotrader listings, see they are missing descriptions, try to look up the VIN, fall flat, etc.
I need to make an app. :P
And btw if you'd take a 2018 my friend just traded in his 18 designo white E63s and it has the massage seats with burmeister 3d. I think the BMW dealership wants 98k. It does have renntech high flow cats and tune along with loweing module though they forget to mention that

From your view, you may have spent 200k in 2 years but that wasnt their margin; MBUSA enjoyed that and the dealer might have made some profit or not?? Its really about the car you want, when you want it, and how willing they want to move it. On my E63S Edition 1, which i got a year ago; that deal was not my normal deal due to the lack of inventory on the ground (EPA holdups) and the car itself. I still got a deal probably better than 99% of the other new Edition 1 buyers but it was not my normal discount.
If I got into a dealership where I dont have a factory relationship (EG Acura) and I want an NSX- my negotiations will take a little longer as in 2 days vs maybe just getting the car on the spot. I do allow the dealer to make some money as a few thousand (like what Absent said) is just not meaningful. Having dealt with dealers all my life and banks that finance loans; the "nickle and dimers" are usually the ones that are never happy even afterwards. Because they continue to second guess their final number.
