Wood Grain Care

I searched this forum and could not find any recommendations. I have Natural Grain Black Ash Wood trim in my 19 E63S. I would like recommendations for cleaning and protection. This is my first MB; my first luxury car of any brand. I appreciate any suggestions and don't mind being made fun of as the FNG.

Like your manual says (page 330): clean with a microfiber cloth and DON'T use any cleaning agents, polishes or waxes. The lacquered wood pieces I've had in many Mercedes have never looked worn and I would imagine the natural grain wood would wear similarly. It has some kind of high-tech finish that just doesn't look glossy.

The biggest mistake people make is thinking that they have to add a wax or polish to these wood grain finishes. A simple wipe with a microfiber cloth is all that is necessary.

best part is those natural grain woods dont need it as much as they dont really get fingerprints.

My 2014 E class lease had natural wood..I never cleaned once..ever lol.. held up fine.

Use this. It won't gloss up the wood.

This will also work on the wood.
