Road Trip

Hey guys,

So I am planning a long road trip with my family on my E63.
The road trip is from Montreal Canada to Miami Florida.

As you know we got extreme cold weather in Montreal and I am currently using Pirellis winter tires.

I was wondering what should I do once I arrive Miami? It would be a hassle to change the tires to summer tires and then again to winter tires once I come back. In addition, I cannot bring my summer tires with me because they don’t fit lol. We are a family of 4 + luggage’s.

Any suggestions?

Very cool man! Sounds like a nice trip for sure. Just roll with the sottozeros the entire time. They'll keep you safe in the colder temps up north and do just fine for regular driving down south.

You'll be fine with winter tires down in southern Florida. You'll probably wear them out a smidge faster due to warmer weather but that'll almost certainly be cheaper than changing to summer tires just for a few thousand miles.

Just remember that W-rated tires need to be kept below 168 mph / 270 km/h.
