A proper piggyback can bypass all of this very easily as it does not manipulate any stock boost and intake flow tables. For our platform, the trap speed is 3mph higher with a JB4 than with any full tune.

On the contrary, a piggyback might actually be the best bet for AMG as well, more than any full tunes. The reason why none of the big dyno numbers from full tuners has never translated to on track is because these ECU's have several bottlenecks that 99% of the full tuners cannot bypass. There are several airflow sensors around the intake, each of them measuring flow at different parts of the intake. If any of the flow numbers on road are off, the car will pull back timing. This has been noticed multiple times. Either the tuners do not have access to flow tables for all the intake sensors or they do not know to what value do they need to be changed to, either way these parameters will cause several boost monitoring issues. On the dyno. all these flow sensors are bypassed because the car is not expecting proper airflow at xxx speed. But in the real work, intake flow numbers are compared to that with the table to make everything is nicely running.

There are a lot of tuners, some better, some worse but there is only one Brabus, the only tuner that has the MB blessing for real.

MY17 S63AMG - MBUSA Buyback. MY16 SL63 - Sold MY19 W213 E63s. 2020 W213 E63s Wagon
Brabus USA - Irvine. Ca.

If I was to get turbo upgrades, I would go with Renntech for allot less if you where in the US.

Yes when I compared my stock M5 to my stock E63S; the E63S sits higher in regards to fender over wheel.

I think we can nit pick any car. At least for me, there hasn’t been a single car I’ve owned that I haven’t corrected much of the things you just mentioned with aftermarket bits. The things that are important to me (the things that attracted me to AMG 16 years ago) seem to be missing from the latest MB models and are now offered by BMW and Audi. I will agree that the exterior of the W213 is the best of the 3. Unless we’re talking about wagons, that RS6 Avant has had my nuts in her purse for years!

To me, owning both, the E looks better the but the M is more comfortable and clearly more functional for my type of usage in regards to: Nav, Media, Climate... Its all subjective to a point.

Would you mind elaborating on what those things are to you personally?
