Modded Turbo E63S's with tunes (true bench flashes) and down pipes arent pulling these times.
On the contrary, a piggyback might actually be the best bet for AMG as well, more than any full tunes. The reason why none of the big dyno numbers from full tuners has never translated to on track is because these ECU's have several bottlenecks that 99% of the full tuners cannot bypass. There are several airflow sensors around the intake, each of them measuring flow at different parts of the intake. If any of the flow numbers on road are off, the car will pull back timing. This has been noticed multiple times. Either the tuners do not have access to flow tables for all the intake sensors or they do not know to what value do they need to be changed to, either way these parameters will cause several boost monitoring issues. On the dyno. all these flow sensors are bypassed because the car is not expecting proper airflow at xxx speed. But in the real work, intake flow numbers are compared to that with the table to make everything is nicely running.

A proper piggyback can bypass all of this very easily as it does not manipulate any stock boost and intake flow tables. For our platform, the trap speed is 3mph higher with a JB4 than with any full tune.

RaceChip has an E63S offering, right? Does the JB4 work for the E63S platform?

yes, racechip is offered for E63S 100-200 is 6.67s with air filters. (Racechip gets) Measured by my friend in MSL performance, UK.

jb4 supports E63S , while their website only shows it for c63 205.

I wasnt saying a piggy wouldnt be better than an ECU tune--- most of my posts along with Chiro's have been about the inability to get similar numbers that the M157 had. I do agree that a piggy will be better in the current tuning environment. I still dont think a piggy on race gas will yeild a 135-136 trap car that the F90 has thus my statement about it not being close. I am waiting for someone here to post up one with such a device but havent found one yet.

It's 19,900 EUR with full 3 year warranty and blessed by Mercedes who give Brabus full access to all their code. Not some ECU hack by some some good old boys.

Lol indeed

My car is getting tune, bigger turbos, exhaust, exterior carbon, dechrome, wheels, badges and custom interior and its 4-6 weeks.

If you went for the 700PS piggyback only, its fitted in a day and I think is about 6k EUR

How do you procure brabus stuff? Interested in the rear spoiler and paddles, potentially.

Check out their website for US distributors, should be plenty.

My stuff is all being dealt with by the largest UK Mercedes dealer (owned by Merc UK) so about as official as it gets.

Lol, its not the best for sure but is accessible with a bit of effort. Better than modding your car with some home-brew

All that stuff and bigger turbos for less then $24k is actually a great deal considering it is done by Brabus.
There are a lot of tuners, some better, some worse but there is only one Brabus, the only tuner that has the MB blessing for real.

no, for 23k € Brabus offering 800kit which includes ecu tune + upgraded turbos. All other mods are at extra cost.

MY17 S63AMG - MBUSA Buyback. MY16 SL63 - Sold MY19 W213 E63s. 2020 W213 E63s Wagon
Brabus USA - Irvine. Ca.

If I was to get turbo upgrades, I would go with Renntech for allot less if you where in the US.

To me, owning both, the E looks better the but the M is more comfortable and clearly more functional for my type of usage in regards to: Nav, Media, Climate... Its all subjective to a point.

Yes when I compared my stock M5 to my stock E63S; the E63S sits higher in regards to fender over wheel.

I think we can nit pick any car. At least for me, there hasn’t been a single car I’ve owned that I haven’t corrected much of the things you just mentioned with aftermarket bits. The things that are important to me (the things that attracted me to AMG 16 years ago) seem to be missing from the latest MB models and are now offered by BMW and Audi. I will agree that the exterior of the W213 is the best of the 3. Unless we’re talking about wagons, that RS6 Avant has had my nuts in her purse for years!

Hey Vic, can the F90 perform a standing burnout in drift mode? I recall that not being possible with the W213. That’s kind of a big deal for 1/4mile guys like me.

Would you mind elaborating on what those things are to you personally?
