I just can't believe it lol. Porsche is standard IMO. The min a new car debuts you can build your own with pricing and everything. Mercedes makes you wait months and months. It's like the dumbest thing ever.

2017 AMG SL63 _ 19 AMG S65 Cpe _ 23 R8 Spyder Rwd _ 17 911 C2S _ 16 Boxster Spyder _ 01 BMW Z8 etc.
So the C63/S cars are up on MB-USA.
Whst a joke. The C63S description page and the configurator as expected are not without errors.
For example-
1) Performance exhaust standard on the 63 models (or is it standard just on the S? Anyway on the S page it says optional.)
2) Ventilated seats are available with the performance seats
Etc.

bmw m hud is not AMG hud
I wasn’t knocking it. I like it and have it on our current BMW, but with my sunglasses on I cannot see it since they are polarized. So I wouldn’t honestly miss it on a future car and I wouldn’t let it hold up my order on a new one. That being said, I will order it if I have the chance and we go that direction.
Have you even checked Benz hud w/polarizing sunglasses?

Not yet. I'm just tired of the crappy BMW so we have an E63s on order. I added the heads so hopefully it will not hold up the order. When it gets here, I'll look for some different glasses if I have problems.

Only thing that was holding up my order was the HUD, which I wanted. Had to forgo it in order to make "trade in" workable...didn't want to go into 2019 year. However, those that have it seem to thing not having it is no big deal. Have to admit, with the new digital dash, I don't miss HUD at all....saved a few bucks as well.

Funny thing - I DD my C63 S and it has HUD, which I like and have gotten used to. Having the digital gauges (I don't) I can see where it wouldn't be needed or missed as much. When I drive my GTR a couple times a week. I find myself initially looking up at the windshield because I've been accustomed to that from HUD. Of course it doesn't have HUD.

Because I had a trade in locked into my deal. If I would have allowed my delivery to lapse in 2019, the value of my trade in would have dropped and I would have taken a hit.
On top of all that, at that time most of us were sweating the possibility of tariffs, and wanted to get our cars shipped ASAP.

I'd like to apologize to anyone out there who thought the next post in this thread was going to be the one that informed you that the 2019 e63s builder was up. I open this thread with optimism and hope every time it is updated...and every time I am let down. Now I, too, am contributing to the disappointment.

Some folks love HUD; others not as much. I'm in the group you spoke of...not a real need/desire for me. I don't use it, and keep it turned off. To your point about the digital dash, I agree, it's certainly large enough and clear enough to give you quick reads on necessary info. HUD is nice for not having to take your eyes off of the road, in theory, but it's not for me. You have chosen wisely...not really worth the wait in my mind, unless you are one of the people who use it and love it.
