Just had my rear diff oil changed at 2,000 miles. Never did this before on any car I’ve owned and admittedly, I don’t know much about cars. I always thought rear diff change involved draining the gearbox in the rear and adding clean oil. I noticed my car on the lift in the shop and the hood and gas tank were both fully open. Out of pure curiosity, anyone know why?
