AMG LED Crest Projectors

Just curious, did anyone on here order the AMG crest projectors? See them as an option on the updated MBUSA website and was wondering what they look like in real life.

Thanks for the pics, that looks really cool actually. Kind of regretting not getting them now -- didn't see it on the dealer order guide when I was configuring my build. Anyone know if its something that can be added after delivery?

Mine were added at the VPC before release to the dealership.

Oh nice. I'm guessing it can easily be swapped in then for the regular door lights.

I got 4 projectors on Ebay for about 10 dollars. Install is about 1 minute to snap in place. They are a different logo than the OEM but look OK. I am sure the OEM is a more clear projecrion or brighter.

Just looking at the pictures the OEM is a fuller logo with more detail.. mine are a plain ring with AMG written accross it. I am happy with them but I am just assuming the 300.00 ones from MB might be a little better than the 10.00 ones from china...

The OEM one looks quite nice. I can tell you that my wife absolutely loves it because she loves thoughtful details and this is an additional detail.

The OEM projectors look very good, but the aftermarket ones I have seen look pretty cheap.

Hello,

I put the OEM up front, and the cheap Ebay "AMG" in the rear doors.
Cheers,

Led projectors

My service advisor told me I couldn’t put LED projectors on the rear doors of my wagon. Has anybody had any experience with this?

Called my local dealer and at first they said that you cannot install the part in a '18/'19 E63S but after taking a look at the cars they had on their lot they realized there's really no reason why they can't retrofit the part into the door. They said its special order but that they can still get it in 3 days if I wanted to go forward with it.

I ordered mine from the dealer and installed them myself. You just pop out the stock lights and then put the new ones in.

Do you happen to have any paperwork showing the exact part number? Did you do front and back doors or front only?

I just did the front driver/passenger. Didn't even think to do the rear tbh. Here is the information from my email -

213-820-60-03 <<< Part number

LED Projectors - AMG Emblem - Transparent

$239.25

Here is the link - https://www.mbonlineparts.com/index....tsubgrp=lights

When they were delivered it showed they were from a dealer a state away from me. So don't worry, it's genuine.

Thank you 19E63s, that's a great price compared to what my dealer wanted! ($373 per pair + tax + $90 shipping + $90 labor).

Did you need a special trim tool to pop out the current lights?

WOW. You need to find a new dealer, one that's not trying to rip you off.

I literally used a flathead screwdriver to remove the old ones. They pop right out. Unreal they're trying to charge you over $500 for this. I can't even believe that. What area are you from?

Northern California -- Sacramento area. Unfortunately all of the three MB dealerships in this area are owned by the same company, hence the monopoly style pricing I guess. Thank you for all your help!

Do you have a sedan or wagon? That link notes "sedan."

Just confirming these did fit your MY19? The site only lists all the 18s

As long as it says it is for a "W213" you should be fine. There are only very minor differences between 2018 and 2019 E63Ss (and these lights are not different between year models). Not trying to change you mind from OEM, but the ones I got (4) that installed in literally minutes (all 4) look acceptably cool. An idea might be to spend the 10 dollars, see if you like the idea, and then if you want to spend 20 times that for a different, and perhaps sharper or brighter image, your will know? Just ideas. Thanks!
