In the last 10 days, I've had these error messages come up 3 times. I feel that when I acceleration normally there is a delay. Once I restart the engine it goes away and runs normally. Car is clean so the sensors should be OK. What could it be?
I have a whole bunch of problems, car is at dealer at the moment and they seem a bit confused as well.
I do think the battery is potentially an issue, I've had a car that routinely became a basket case every five years when the battery wore down. After a night of trickle charging mine was at 11.7V the morning before I took it in. I had been in accessory mode a fair bit trying to get a data connection going. But, the car was being driven daily. A voltage that low may mean a cell has failed.
Mine is an E53, with the additional battery running the starter I can see how the main battery could get pretty weak and not really show up till it's critical to the systems.
