Plaque with Engine Builder's Name
Hi All,
I was cleaning up some bug splats on the headlights and windshield and decided to pop the hood to see if anything needed cleaning in there. I noticed that the plaque with the engine builder's name is lifting up on the left side closest to the turbos. The material under the plaque looks like it has been melting and expanding but once it cools then it hardens again. I know that the plaque gets really hot but I hadn't noticed this before. Anyone else see this on their car?

I suggest you bring it in to the dealer. I’m sure they will replace the engine cover or α new plaque providing your still under factory bumper to bumper warranty.
BTW, the plaque is held together with double sided tape.

Thanks you guys! To be honest, I forgot about the plaque "issue." I did show this to the dealer and the service rep didn't think it was a big deal. I just checked it and it hasn't gotten worse but next dealership visit I'll bring it up again. Oh did I mention that the plaque gets really hot too.
