South Florida downpipe installation shop recommendation?
I'm hoping this community is large enough that there are some fellow South Floridians on the forums, preferably some who have had a good experience installing downpipes on their car.
Can anybody attest to whether or not they know a good, reputable shop who is familiar with these kinds of cars? Or, as familiar as you can be, given the rather low volume of them (let alone people tuning them)

Star Garage in Margate, FL is by far the BEST Mercedes only shop in South Florida...PERIOD
Not only are they the best be technicians, but super honest with fair pricing. They could do any reasonable modifications. Mike and Joe are the owners and you won't be find better guys to work with. I am confident to refer them and have had nothing but praise feedback from others I have referred. I will not take my cars anywhere else!

@france2112 i actually called them with an unrelated issue a few weeks ago and they put Mike on the phone. i could tell right away he was something special (very polite, very knowledgable)
i just wanted to double check, are you sure they do downpipes/tune stuff? i felt like they were mainly a shop that did maintenance on out of warranty vehicles

Best is a subjective word. While these guys may be good on the east coast of Florida, dont forget the west coast.

just for completion
i drove to star mercedes in margate and spoke with mike
he said he hasn’t done any w213 downpipes and it’s most likely a pain in the ***, which didn’t inspire confidence
he was nice about all of my other questions though!

Try this shop, I have heard they are big into Mercedes Performance but I have not personally used them.
MB Automotive & Auto Sales in Pompano Beach, FL: 954-942-4339. They are an authorized RennTech dealer and the owner is a huge performance guy named Robert Ginsburg. I am sure he would take on the job. Let me know how it goes.

Lol...I could totally see his face. Well there is no doubt it is likely a pain in the *** for anyone. Did he say he would not do it or did you not press him? Mike is a purist and thinks the cars are fast enough and sound great stock. He has never been a huge performance guy but I promise that if their shop did any work it would be done as good as it can get. I have seen them do virtually everything to W212's, C63's, E55's, etc... Guess not many are modding the W213 yet or have made it to his shop and he is likely so busy it may not be something he wants to take on. Anyway, sorry for making you waste a trip.

do not be sorry at all. It was close by and a trip worthwhile. Mike approached me right away (he thought I was his friend when I pulled up in the E63S) but he was beyond helpful, super down to Earth, and super cool. I have no doubt that if I asked/pushed for it, he'd be willing to work with the car or refer me to somebody who could. Thank you again for the recommendations.
Do you have the E63S wagon I see around Coral Springs sometimes?

No, I have a 2015 CLS63 AMG S. I am looking for a good 2018 E63 S with the options I want. Hard to find a good car at a reasonable price now. I will wait it out a bit for them to drop. I love my car and would keep it but I get this lag when I am slowing down (decelerating) and then accelerate again...DRIVES ME CRAZY. I have almost gotten killed a few times coming to an intersection to take a right turn and as I slow down to take the turn cars were coming. When I punched it nothing happened for like 1.5 seconds!!! This keeps happening and apparently it is a known issue. I do not know if it is just turbo lag or the MCT not knowing what gear to get into but is sucks! Makes me hate my car. Plus off the line it is a total dog...likely because of the torque limiters. I have not heard anything bad about the 9 speed MCT plus so I assume off the line is better and none of this "dead pedal" feeling I keep getting. Let me know if this is accurate. How do you like your transmission and is it good off the line without using race start. Thanks in advance.

Shout out to MuffinFlavored! Great guy and awesome car. He let me take his beast out for an extended test drive and then we did some dig and rolling pulls. We were like big kids in High School...Lol. Thanks again brother and let's get together again! Really appreciate you letting me try your E63 S! The car is amazing...so much better then the previous model in all ways!
