I heard from few others that transmission is weak point when you start pushing power.
Hopefully I won’t run into that. |
Back in april I got a $93k buy offer from Mercedes on a $114k payoff amount on my lease, $120k sticker, 5k miles. This is why I have on swapalease with $12k incentive so an individual instead of a dealer can get a deal.

alright so I'm not mathematician but check out this backyard math:
currently, you can probably get ~$80k for an E63S on trade in. whether a dealer is moving money around on you, who cares. unless you front loaded your lease with a bunch of money down (which is kind of dumb because you stand to lose it all in the event of a total and you're basically just prepaying your lease payment sans interest), you're probably $15k underwater. now, say you drive like, 10k miles a year. pretty standard here. everybody has 19 other cars and all that. 833 miles a month. 833 miles, 6 months, 5k miles in a 6 month time frame, making roughly $1.5k/mo to "principal" (no interest, no tax) on your lease account, that's $9k adding 5k miles to a car really shouldn't lower the value by more than... maybe $2-3k? does that mean if you're upside down $15k now, but you make 6 more months of payments, you're really only down like... $5k then? or does the trade in value of the car slide like a rock? how much less than $80k can a dealer offer you for the same car, 6 months + 5k miles later?... |
