I was able to fully pull off the bottom cover, but I was able to attempt removal of the tip through the rear opening. I was able to move the cover far enough to the side, along with masking tape on the cover, without touching the tip. However, as you mentioned, the bottom of the diffuser would require some significant stretching to remove and install the new tip. It was significant enough that I didn't want to break the diffuser so I stopped. Oh well, I will have to have the dealership, or a body shop, install the tips.

Thanks for the suggestions anyway!

No problem. Ye its a good stretch but works without any breaking . Its ABS plastic. Dealership/Workshop has to remove the full exhaust System to swap them. Should not be a problem. Glad you like the non S tips as well. Can you send me some pictures of the tips? i used black enamel on mine.
You bought the Night Package ones?

Has anybody tried using a "sealant" on their wheels to help prevent brake dust from adhering? Wondering if the sealants out there would still work (retaining the matte look) on the matte finish wheels that are an option on the car, like the ones nw66 has in the pics above.

I have used ceramic coating and it works amazing! The matte finish always stays like new and no brake dust and super easy to clean too.

how hard is this to do?

do you use the iron spray that makes brake dust purple? i feel like that stuff affects wheel weights and eats the iron off of them

my wheel weights are always black never had an issue. You clean the wheels properly. Apply the coating and follow the instructions. Its really easy. I recommend to remove the wheels from the car for a proper application. There are many youtube videos on how to.
You just need water or some foam to clean them after the coating.

The proper way is to use decon on the car (the stuff that turns purple after it reacts with any contamination on your paint), wash it off, clay bar it, do paint correction then ceramic coating.

If you just do coating without other steps it’s not effective as it can’t bond to the paint properly.

all those steps were done properly. Clay bar, decon everything. Thats why it took so long But if you just want the coating you can do those steps in 1 day or max 2 days. But you are right i would not just coat the car.

oh yeah when you say 5 days I have no doubt whoever did it got it down the right way. I was just referring to if you can do “just the coating” and just wanted to paint it out that you have to do the prep work first. Coating by itself goes pretty quickly.

My car is selenite gray magno so cant do clay or polishing ... Going to use Kamikaze coating which seems to work well with matte finish paint.

Ye Kamikaze is good. Maybe Check Gyeon Matte. Their products are really lovely. Coated all windows with Gyeon View as well. No wipers need. Used those products 7 years on my previous car. Held up really well up to the 5th year.

what is a good decon product? is it ok to use for regular details/washes if you aren’t coating?

Once you coat your car you technically don't need to decon ... all you need to do is get a shampoo that doesn't strip coating and you can buy a lot of quick detailing sprays that are silica based specifically for coated cars. Carpro, Chemical Guys, and other companies have all that ...
