4 Cylinder Mode
Why does 4 cylinder mode not work with cruise control on? If I’m driving 70 on the highway the icon stays lit up. As soon as I put on cruise control it disappears.

All I can think is that the algorithms for maintaining distance with the car ahead would be thrown off by the change in acceleration and engine braking curves, so for safety they eliminate that variable.

This was an observation that I had on my car last year while driving cross country. If driving manually it goes to 4-cylinder and gliding mode regularly, but in cruise no dice.
I was able to get better mileage driving on my own versus using the cruise. But on trips I end up using cruise anyway as it's just more relaxing.
