Winters
So I pulled the trigger on some Potenzas on tire rack for the dipping temps coming here in the East. I love the Pilots but I need some winter coverage. I'm just gonna mount them on my oem wheels and keep the Michelins for the Spring. What's everyone else doing?

Did Michelin Pilot 19 winter tires mounted on wheels from tirerack. Wheels are similar in look to OEMs so went with black for winter to change up from the bright silver in summer. Funny months later moved to Austin... had I known I probably would not have bought these at all. I did get lots of compliments on the black and most people said they liked them better...

Tire rack is not the place to shop for winter tires, in my opinion, because they do not carry Nokian:

if you ask me, a guy from heavy snowing country, what tires are good for winter -any time i will say nokian.

Blizzaks and Nokians Haekkapellita R3s are always good. I’m using my Pirelli Sottozeros from my ‘17 Audi on my W213.

I like the Pirelli Sottozero's but they wear in typical Pirelli fashion. Had to replace the tires after two seasons. Down to the wear mark of the rears and some inner wear on the fronts (unlike our PS4s tires using the same alignment). 6000 miles maybe? $1800 with install and taxes. Decided to swap with Bridgestone Potenza All-seasons as we will keep the car for maybe 6 months longer...
