CPO 2018 E63S

Hello. Long time luker around here but looking to make a purchase. Im looking at a CPO car with just under 2900 miles and msrp of 128-129K. Dealer wants 108K for it but will definitely negotiate. It has more options than I would spec and is a very clean car. Thoughts on what its really worth considering that it's an early 2018 production car? I havent really done much research on a new build 2019 or 2020 but since there's very little difference in options/spec, I thought it would be wise to go CPO and save a little.

Thoughts? TIA!

You would definitely save buying used. If I were in your position, I don't think I'd pay more than 98K based on the description. That's if it's in perfect condition, the color you want etc. 95K would be a better goal though.

Thats barely broken in. Its virtually new car. Any insight into why it was at the dealer with that low of miles unless it was a manager's demo?. Is it a 2019 or a 2018? Just wondering if you are confusing build date with model year. I dont know when the cut over happened but if 2019 thats a huge discount Id take it right away. If a 2018 it might be priced right. What options does it have? Its nice you can get more car than youd have ordered and if it was me I'd bde very tempted, but you need to just double check why its being sold with such low miles. What year is your M5? I was a life long BMW guy too but last few years I have to say the AMGs are just nicer cars and I switched to AMG in 2016 even though I had a cheaper M4 offer the C63s just flipped me with a single test drive. So much more classy and better executed ( or am getting old lol )

It's definitely a 2018 and basically brand new. It was a late january/early feb 2018 delivery.

Seats have no wear and the car is very clean. The original owner apparently changes cars often and got out of it b/c the sport seats were too uncomfortable. I think he ended up trading for an S Class. The sport seats are definitely an acquired taste but luckily they fit me well like a glove!

I would check Carfax as the first step, just in case.
If everything looks great, as explained, and it’s your dream car color/options combo etc. 95k seems reasonable. Keep in mind 2020 are coming and both ‘18 and ‘19 prices are sliding down...
resale prices can go down by $1000s just in few months
what would be the resale value down the road, how long will you keep the car?

Is it a wagon? Because $108k would make it the most expensive used/CPO 2018 E63S sedan in the nation (besides Fletcher Jones smoking crack, listing one for $107 and some exotics place laughably asking $120k for a 2018 with 7500 miles). The price difference between a 2500 and a 5000 mile care should be negligible. As others have said, they're asking $10k more than anyone should pay.

weda33, just as an example.... The 2018 GLE63s I just picked up sticker-ed at 122k. Was a leftover. Build Date 6/18. 56 miles. Bought at 95k as new with full warranty and other incentives.... I think they are high on their price.

95K is the sweet spot for that. You can probably pick up a new one for a little bit over what your paying with a decent discount. I was offered one here from a dealer board member, but passed with a 10k discount on it right off the bat. 119k msrp down to109k
