I just took delivery of my 2020 E63s sedan and noticed a very weird issue.
First, I can start the car without pressing down on the brake pedal. Once the car is running the brake lights are illuminated constantly - even when driving and not applying any pressure to the brake pedal.
I have a service appointment scheduled for tomorrow but I am curious if someone has come across this issue or has any suggestions as to what it might be.
Thanks

This is a problem with the brake switch behind the actual brake pedal, it's constantly reporting that the brake is engagedOriginally Posted by GermanMIA

Sucks to be driving a new car and all those electrical gremlins appearing already. My ML had those exact warnings awhile ago and dealer determined it was a wire harness that was bad. They took off the entire front bumper to replace that wiring harness (performed under warranty) and so far so good. Good luck with yours.
Turns out the fix was indeed to replace the brake switch. They replaced the switch and all issues are gone.
