GPS Issues 2019 E63s
For about 6 months my GPS has periodically given me totally bogus directions (e.g. go north on a freeway when I need to go south, turn left, when I need to go right. When I knew that the directions were bad I ignored them and went the correct way. In all instances there were no traffic issues, road closures, etc that would have justified going in the opposite direction.
I just got the car back from the dealer where they installed updated maps and could not find any problems with the GPS system. I had the same problem twice on my short, simple drive home.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

Unfortunately I have no good suggestions.
I exclusively use CarPlay for GPS, but next time you get these erroneous directions you should zoom out on the map and see what’s going on. Perhaps it identified the wrong destination? Correct business but incorrect city? Or if it is just taking you on a great circle route for no reason you should try to take a picture of the entire route it’s suggesting to help prove the issue to service and/or MB.

I've seen it and chalked it up to poor GPS reception. The MB nav system isn't very good once compared to others. The nav in my C7 Corvette and my wife's Lexus are much better. I had a pickup with a Pioneer head unit in it and that was better (and 10 years old).
