usb audio

Anyone figured out how to play audio from android phone via usb connection? Using the phone as the controller? I can "see" the SD card on the phone from the car but hard to search and navigate.

Reason specifically is prefer the higher quality audio than bluetooth.

Follow-on question, anyone know what bluetooth codec the E63 uses?

Thanks

Appreciate it. Was wanting to control from my phone and still use USB so I could search easier, etc.

When I first took delivery of my car, the first thing I did (well maybe not the VERY first) was just copying ALL of my recorded music collection onto a memory stick, plugged it in, and have never touched it since.
Everything is controlled via the onboard Media Controller, no superfluous hardware - works like a dream.
BTW, I was impressed to find out that it even played my high bit rate, hi-res FLAC files, not just WAV or MP3.
I hope this is of some value to someone...

No. I use a USB drive. Anything more I'm losing focus on what I should be doing.

You need to use Android Auto connecting your Android phone via USB connector:
