E63s OPF/GPF Filter

Hello,

Which year from 2018 - 2020 Does the E 63S have the OPF/GPF particle filters, like the c63s that added it on the 2019 facelift, i want one without it

I believe pre July 2019 production will have no change.

In Germany I think Production of car starting from 08-09/2018 it has the OPF GPF.

With OPF it is a little less loud but performance whise no difference.

I contacted MBUSA email and they said 2019 and above have the OPF filter but im still having doubts because a lot of people mentioned that the c63s coupe 2019 facelift has the opf filter but doesnt have the pop and crackles like the 2017 - 2018 have, not sure why not a lot of people talk about the e63s 2019 and above on whether or not it has the opf filter

The OPF is only on European models based on evidence that has come to light so far. The OPF is option code 598 and is not found on US spec build sheets, whereas it is clearly listed on EU build sheets. At least one member has also had his exhaust replaced on a 2019 C63S and there is no physical evidence of an OPF. Only the cats are there. The lack of pops and crackles is below about 4000 rpm due to increasingly stringent noise regulations and the fact that the new noise regulations have to be met with the valves open now, whereas before they only had to be met with the valves closed. Above 4000 rpm or so the FL C63 pops and crackles just fine. IMO, they are actually more natural this way, because they only occur when the car is driven harder.
