Extended warranty AMG
Hi,
I have a question about extended warranty. I am looking for extended warranty for my 2018 E63s AMG. I have an option for MB extended warranty for 7 year /unlimited miles (expires 2024) for $3850.
Second option is third party-ZURICH through local MB dealer-10 y/75k miles for 4354 (expires 2027). Dealer stand behind ZURICH warranty and it is comprehensive, with good coverage. I don't drive much and prefer to keep the car.
Anyone has experience with ZURICH ? Looking for input.
Thank you

2020 e63s wagon
they both sound similar but the decision would be if you put more miles per year as opposed to keeping the car for 4 a longer period of time, ask yourself, do i put a lot of miles per year or r you going to keep it forever?

I went with Fidelity for 10 years, 100K miles. That was all that was available at the time I was shopping. I have never heard of Zurich. Mercedes would not sell me an extended warranty because my 2019 E63SW was originally sold in Canada. Anyone know anything about Fidelity?

I had a third party warranty through Lithia- my BMW dealer for my X5M and they took care of all repairs and there was never a denial.

Any warranty that the local dealer is comfortable with is my recommendation. Few insurance companies provide warranties for AMGs per se. Fidelity used to, but not sure now. I would not take an AMG car to a non mercedes shop for repairs.

I’m also considering Fidelity Platinum coverage. Are you happy with the coverage that they provide and how they service the warranty? I called my local MB service department and they said that they accept that coverage.

I'm also getting ready to pull the trigger on an extended warranty. I purchased a gently used 2017 E43 with 8K miles and I'm looking for some long term protection. I got two quotes for extended warranties MB and Fidelity. I called Cassandra Castro at MB Milwaukee and got a a good price on a 7yr / 75K warranty. She offered a much better price than my local dealer. I also contacted Fidelity. The quote for their Platinum coverage (an exclusionary policy like MB) is $1000 less but includes a $100 deductible. The biggest difference is that the Fidelity term starts at the time of the purchase of the plan and covers- 7 yrs / 70K from today. I have one year left on my MB factory warranty and Fidelity will extend that for 6 extra years! If I bought the MB extended warranty, it starts from the day that the car was initially sold and would only give me 3yrs or 75K additional protection. Based on that, I'm going to buy Fidelity for my three year old car.
On a related note, my previous car was a 2011 E63. I had it for 9.5 years and it was rock solid. I had a couple of issues during the warranty period and no issues afterwards. Hopefully that will be the case with this car.

All, I still follow this one, having some time to consider though knowing I have a 2019 and expect to keep low miles anyway...I did contact Cassandra, and while I do not doubt at all that she has the best price... the quote for my 2019 was WAY higher than what 2018 owners above report... not sure what accounts for the difference. I also failed to ask if the quote included tax or whether there was tax at all. I will check prices again in another 6 months or so as things can always change...

Remember these warrantees are based on deductible when you sell your car down the line before they expire.
I had the MB extended on my GTS and when I asked for my refund they deducted the cost of warrantee service from my refund.
Not worth the price for me ever again.. I paid $7,900 and received a refund check for $4,800 after only two months of coverage..
