Looking to buy a 2018 E63s but don’t wanna deal with unnecessary or stupid problems. Have any of you had any troubles or any stupid issues?

 

I would not get an 18 personally. Even 19's have problems. My service adviser just told me a few months ago his head AMG tech was working on rebuilding the injectors on a 19 so he wouldn't be able to take care of my car on that visit.
Mine, a 19, had problems. Not engine related though, other than the usual AMG stutter, weird downshifts when coming to a stop in S+, etc.
Lots of creaks, rattles, etc. though!
I also had the 5k 3D burm. sound system, the amp had to be replaced after a few thousand miles.
I could go on and on. I currently have a 2020 GLC 63. Liking it better than the E63s so far. Other than the power deficit.

 

I stepped up from a then purchased used '14 E63S to a brand new '19 E63S about a year ago and other than a somewhat annoying squeak on the passenger seat when somebody is sitting in it I have had no issues what so ever! The car performs flawlessly as a daily driver. Did one track day with it and other than getting the stock tires WAY hot no issues what so ever . . .

 

My 18 has been relatively trouble free for nearly 2.5 yrs. I did have some issues to get them resolved in the first year of ownership and since then it has been good and no major complaints.

for sure, it’s a hit and miss for some owners.
