Hey nw66,
can you tell me what you experienced so far with the black boost intake?
Does the car run cooler? What about the noise?
Thanks!

Hi mate,
Think Raudiace4 had one first not sure if he still has it on his car currently with all of the extra mods (so thanks Raudiace4) Yes brilliant mod works really well was a good choice with the stage 2 upgrades, does make a blow off noise more of a small howl than a big whoosh i have some blackboost BOV but haven't fitted as i actually like noise without! performance the turbos really like the cold air and adds a bit more oomph! highly recommended! don't run with the cut down engine cover leave off as it run hot! GT black series has a similar set up google the engine bay of one

The install is really easy, once you see how simple it is you’ll be able to do it in 15-20 mins. Cheers.

What is your real-life experience city driving and around town driving, part throttle, etc? I read on these internets over and over again from keyboard jockeys that bigger turbos are fun on the top end and everything else sucks. What's it like in real life?!

One of the best mods you can do to a Buick gn. Stock or built up . 10 sec car is nothing. Street manner's are great. I am very fussy with drive ability . We ran a lock up converter well into the 9s. Still good street manners. 8.8s now @ 153 at 3450#s. Now it's turning into a race car. Our low 10 second car climbed the Mount Washington road up to the top. We ran into the 8s with a heavy car and AC . That was our goal. Never ran a HUGE turbo. They sucked on the street an ya have to get a bad *** converter to spool it.
My wagon I just got a few weeks ago. Just want a tune an play with an alky system. Put it in the high 10s an leave it alone YES my age is showing

Love the build! I picked up my E63s last year around this time, and my end goal is to basically replicate what you have. Any chance you use any other social media that I could come into contact with you easier?
I've got PTGs ECU/CPC/TCU tune & ptg downpipes + race valves ready to go. Would love to contact you for few questions mainly on sourcing out aftermarket parts. Personally I've had a hard time finding lot of cosmetic parts.

9 second car
Finally had time to go to the strip. No draggy bull****. True 1/4 mile time slip from the strip. Full weight, full tank of fuel ~3 gallons of E85 (untested) and rest 93 octane, street summer tires.
Officially a 9 second car. Tbh, for the amount of money I’ve spent on this car, it should be faster. However it is on a low boost tune and completely stock cooling. Next season i'm planning to upgrade cooling and turn up the boost and see what it can do. Retired from daily driving duties.

as long as it is true E85 from VP or Sunco... it will be about as good as methanol without none of the drawback (aluminum etching/degredation). Of course I am guessing that the E85 was in the Methanol injection system. You will run a hair richer if it was tuned for Methanol.
