Used 2018 vs New 2019?
New to the community. Getting ready to make a big decision, but would like some input from experienced users:
Black 2018: https://www.jumboluxurycars.com/vehi...fl-id-36741211
White 2019: https://www.hoehnmercedes.com/invent...zf8kb1ka560812
The black one does not have AMG performance exhaust, but I would be willing to spend the money and time to install the button on the lower center console, and an upgraded exhaust. It's also used, older style steering wheel, and has been in one minor accident (cosmetic damage only according to carfax).
Approximate monthly payment and total cost: $84,000 ($1,400mo).
The white one doesn't have an electronic rear sunshade, and it's also missing an option on the left hand row of buttons next to the lane keep button (I believe for air suspension activation, but not entirely sure). However, it's new, and I believe the screen is updated from the 2018 to the 2019 (please advise if this is not correct).
Approximate cost and monthly payment: $102,000 (1,500mo).
I am only asking for input on the purchase between the two options. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

And fyi... I just got into a 2018 e63s w/ 9000 mi, no accidents, 1 owner, all maintenance performed for $78k (fully loaded aside from upgraded Burmester system and night vision)... $84k for that black one you listed above is a terrible deal. Skip.
I know you're just asking between those two... so to answer your question, I'd go with the white, hands down. That said, I think you should wait it out... neither of those are "GREAT" deals... if you wait it out you'll get a car with everything you really want for a great price. If it was me, I'd keep looking... but if you HAVE to pick one, go with the white, IMHO. Good luck!

That's what I was afraid of. I researched alternative exhaust options and wiring diagrams for the Audio interface power switch and I decided it's just not worth the hassle to ghetto-rig a car like this. It has to be done right from the factory. Going to test drive the new white one today and see if I can't come home without it. Found a private sale in my area that is basically 6k less then a new one with only 5k miles and all the bells and whistles.
Can anyone provide some insight into whether the '18 screens are equal or less resolution then the '19 screens?

I'm about to purchase a 17 E63S in black 24700miles in the UK for the equivalent of $77825. It's a premium plus with a ton of extras. Has the buckets, sports exhaust...he's changing the wheels and blacking out all the badges too. I would keep looking...

2018 E63S AMG
There is a huge difference in options on these cars so make sure you're considering apples to apples.
My 2018 was optioned out to $140 k which was fairly loaded. A completely optioned 2018 sedan would be ~$150. Many of the new cars I saw advertised by dealers were in the $108 k to $120 k range. They don't spec them as fully optioned because they don't move as fast. I went the European Delivery route in part so that I could get a car with all the options I wanted.
So when you're looking at a new versus used car, compare the builds.
I was strongly considering a used E63 in the 2017 timeframe till I heard about the significant upgrades coming in the 2018. Were I in the market again today, I'd strongly consider a used 2018 if I found the right car.
It's nice to get the car brand new and know that you're the one to break it in and that it hasn't been flogged through endless race starts and epic drift mode abuse. Certainly something to be said for paying the extra to have that peace of mind. But I think if you do the research and have a car inspected by a third party you can get a great used car deal as most cars probably haven't been flogged that bad.

At this point I’m very close to committing to the white new ‘19 because of the large amount the dealer took off for me. Literally the only thing holding me back is the fact that it doesn’t have the HUD. Not sure if that’s entirely a make or break option for me.
I mean, if I’m paying $100k for a car, it should have everything I want right?
Ive got a feeling patience will serve me best in this decision..
but dam do I want to just sign the paperwork tomorrow!

its $116k MSRP
Discount to $94k
Tax and Fees $9k
Total $103k
Trade In $6k
Cash $4k
Financed $93k
All for the white one in original post. You think I should be at or below $90 before tax and fees?

Tagging into this thread - as I am on the same boat.
Looking to purchase a 2019 (coming from a 14 CLS amgS), but the only thing missing is the PE.
Drove my buddies e63 WITH the PE, valves open - WOW. Valves closed...very quiet.
Will the sound be identical with the valves closed on a factory non-PE equipped w213?
Thanks!

you have to have the exhaust! even when you can't go a million miles an hour... you can make yourself smile with the exhaust just slowing down from 55 in sport ++ (popping and gurgling)
Don't consider anything before 2018... the previous cars have a completely different engine (not the marvelous 4.0 that the newer car has)
the 19 will have the newer steering wheel that looks quite nice but you can find aluminum trim pieces that fit over the existing ones that make the original steering wheel look updated...
the HUD is sorta nice but not a deal breaker... good luck.
