While we wait for the mbusa.com pricing, anyone have a Dealer Order Guide that they can upload? My sales rep said they aren’t allowed to email anymore... but I imagine someone here has the file. Please PM me if you don’t want to upload. Thanks!

I haven’t seen one in print. The version that was passed around here awhile back contains errors, so don’t trust it completely.

One thing that bit me is the Macchiato headliner in Dynamica - despite being listed everywhere as available (including the online configurator), it most definitely is not. There may be other discrepancies, too...

The latest DOG also shows the IWC clock as standard equipment which is not true. Some of the previous equipment is no longer available even though it was in the earlier guide. My car will be built in the next two weeks and the factory PO lists all of the standard equipment in addition to the options that I specified. One item that I cannot see is 611 which was the puddle lights on the mirrors.

Yep, that’s all true. I was quite disappointed about the IWC clock, but finally accepted it. Likewise the unavailability of burl walnut on the E63S when it’s possible to order it with an ordinary E-Class. Frustrating!

The driver side control of the passenger seat has also been eliminated. I've been studying the OM to see operational changes and I found a couple of items that I hope are really in my vehicle: fire extinguisher storage under the front seat, emergency triangle storage in the tailgate, vests, etc. We'll just have to see what actually ships.

I noted those, too, and was surprised to see this degree of inconsistency with MB’s documentation, especially spanning (presumably) multiple departments - given that the DOG, OM, and configurator are unlikely to be produced by the same staff. I’m willing to ascribe this sort of thing to the oddly pervasive 2020-related challenges we’ve all faced to varying degrees, but I won’t be so cavalier about any discrepancies with the car. I’m cautiously optimistic that the quality we expect will be present, even in our pandemic vehicles. Fingers crossed for another two months!

I found feature code 636 which states "Emission of hazard warning triangle". I guess since there is no changing kit, then it's ok to omit the warning while you're in the road pumping goop into a deflated tire. I've no idea how some of these decisions get made by the bean counters.
I'm going to order the tire changing kit once the car is here, but not the spare.

I also noticed that the AMG Performance Seats are not available in the U.S. That is what I read from the dealer print of the 2021 with all the pricing. When I asked an AMG specialist here why the option wasn't available in the U.S., he said it's because that's what the Germans want. Ha. But he believes that it may be attributed to COVID and they may have a limited supply of those seats when all the factories shut down. His thoughts are that it may become available in the coming months. Does anyone else have any insight on why AMG Performance Seats aren't offered in the 2021 for the U.S. market?

I read that the take rate was very low. Someone mentioned we are too large in the US and sit on the sport seats not in them. Shmee said they suck in his review, mentioned how uncomfortable they are.

Even for those of us who aren’t fat (I’m 6’ & 160 lb.), those seats just aren’t comfortable for multi-hour stints on long-distance drives. Since favoring comfort is probably much more in line with how most guys will drive these cars most of the time, the standard seats are a much better choice.

I'm 5'6" & 130 lbs, I need extra bolster padding to keep myself in place. I agree though I am more interested in comfort than sport as far as the seats go.

Yeah, I finally saw some of those posts after I wrote that. Still would be nice to have the option. So dealers don't have to order it if it's a spec car for sale on the lot. But at least allow us to order it if we choose.

I’d say exactly the same for burl wood trim, macchiato dinamica headliners, and for that matter, the IWC dash clock. Alas...

I will add this about sport seats: A few that I test drove awhile back felt horrible. My wife even hated them. They look great, but that is all and would be a pain in the butt (pun intended) for any type of serious comfort. I will add this about the regular seats though, they are thick and if kid(s) are in the back climbing in out of for school or events (backpacks, lunch boxes, supplies) then they take up a lot of room where the sport seats would be better.
Good luck.
