Is that without the Destination and Delivery Fee? What you are receiving is the invoice percentage which means that they just want to move the car for the volume totals. European delivery for AMGs was 5% on the base car and nothing on the options. The Options do not have much margin so getting 9.5% is awesome. Are you adding any additional services (Maintenance, Tire warranty, etc).? Also, you are getting a sedan and not a wagon. I wouldn't expect a dealer to release a build slot and delivery on a custom wagon for that discount. Enjoy your new ride.
I just got home with the car - and sat in the garage for over an hour going through every setting. Whew!
Yes, the 9.5% on my sedan came off the MSRP of the entire order, including options. The Destination and Delivery fees were then added, along with the tax, to arrive at the net selling price. I'm generally less than enthusiastic about extra insurance of any kind, but I wound up adding the tire warranty; when I saw how little it cost, it tickled my value sensor.
The new AMG has arrived! After 4.5 months since placing the order, the car was finally delivered today. It's absolutely gorgeous. I knew that the Lunar Blue would be beautiful, but the combination of my selected appearance options (wheels, badge delete, passing on carbon fiber and 'night' trim, etc.) all combined to produce a stunner. Also, the glossy brown ash interior trim is even nicer than I'd hoped. Wow. The car got a ton of attention at the dealer from customers and employees alike. Of course, it's the first '21 E63S which anybody had seen in person, so it might just be that.
Now I only have to get through the first 1K miles in Comfort mode. I'll get it done, though, as I'm not going to risk that incredible engine with a poor break-in. Here are two quick pics from the showroom:

Ah, I didn't realize that we were talking about a wagon. Still, it's worth an inquiry, as a paltry 1% discount is robbery, I don't care how "limited" the things are.

yeah, I’ve just talked to my GSM who sold me the S63 Coupe about ordering a 2021 e63S Wagon. He said 2% off. Considering I robbed him on the S63, I would let him back a few percentage points, but no way we’re getting 9.5% on wagons.

I hope that you have a good supply of leather cleaner. I never could keep those seats spotless and that would kill me. Basically, I would choose Nut Brown because of its dirt hiding properties. Of course, my wagon has the exclusive nappa black leather with the carbon fiber as contrast. I'll post when the car arrives in two weeks.

I’ve always had good success with the lighter leather colors. I thought about the Nut Brown this time around, but it was just too dark for me. Can’t wait to see your new car!
Does anyone know if the MB factories in Germany are part of the recent covid lockdown there? Or is it just restaurants/bars/etc.? Can't tell from the news articles.
