Jerking forward when approaching a stop

I have a 2018 E63s and over the past few months I have noticed the car jerking forward when I approach a stop sign or red light when it is shifting into 1st gear. Hs anyone else experienced this, or have ideas on what may be causing this?

Thanks!

Wow! What a coincidence! I had this happened to me back in September 2020 (model yr 18) and this issue came suddenly and lasted nearly 1 week. I then booked a service appointment but I had to wait like 3 weeks to bring it in to dealer to check out the issue. But the weird thing was this trans jerking issue came like that and then disappeared just like that without me doing anything.

I kept my appointment and brought it in and dealer checked and test drove the car in various driving modes and the service technician was unable to replicate my complaint. There was no fault code stored as I had the latest known tranny software on the car and therefore, dealer did not re-download the latest tranny software as it would not result in any changes or benefits . Dealer simply asked me to report back if it happens again.

so, it has been 4 months since the tranny issue and it has not happened again. So relieved.

I noticed this happening much more so in sport mode or higher. In comfort it's smooth. I just figured this was a characteristic of the wet clutch transmission and its aggressiveness in the sportier modes.

If you are new to AMG MCT transmissions, this is quite common. It's been drastically improved from the 7 MCT to these new 9 speeds, but it will occasionally do this while driving around town in S+.

Mine happened in any modes, all suddenly and disappeared suddenly after about 1 week.

I have a 2019 E63S. It always does that in only S+ mode.
