Rim question on my upcoming ‘21 e53
Hi All,
My e53 is due to be completed in 2 weeks. I ordered
it with the 19” rims but the rims don’t come in black at 19” only the 20s. I live in the northeast and potholes etc.. make the 19s a better choice.
My plan was to powder coat the stock wheels black, but now I’m thinking I should spend that money on new rims and use the stock for winter tires. Or sell the stock rims. Unless of course I can buy a set of 19” black amg rims from another vehicle that will fit.
What are the thoughts on the forum.

20” setup will have a harsher ride in general. If you are concern with potholes and ride quality, then stick with 19” and also get another 19” for winter as well.

The look and to powder coat or not is totally up to you. For winter, you can get some cheap aftermarket wheels, as long you can match closely to the factory offsets.
