Can someone explain what driving behavior causes the boost meter to increase, or how you would use that information when you drive?

 

All it does is show whatever boost the turbochargers are putting out. Mash the accelerator and you will see the boost gauge go red. Aside from showing you when the turbos are providing boost abs to what extent, I don’t think there is much else this gauge does.
