Well the mystery is solved turns out it’s the radar detector escort Max ci essentially 1 all radar and jammers off, 2 receive only and 3 is all on and jammers enabled. Glad it’s not modded.....

That seems really odd. The dial is a giant step backwards from what already comes with the Max package - and it can all be very well hidden (ashtrays, instrument clusters, HUD, rear view mirror etc). You can even control on/off with steering wheel controls if its the Max/ Max 360 Ci.

A Max ci is the newest version in the escort line and doesn't offer any kind of control like this - i comes with a display and on/off switching that is much more capable that a 3 stage knob. At the very least its something other than a max ci. Even a 9500 doesn't have this dial. check the front and rear of your car for the laser shifters - in the front they should be in the grill, and rear by the license plate. If it has it in the rear too, it's a 360 version which is an option; they usually come with front only. These things are the difference between knowing you have been caught (the alarm triggers a laser alarm) and avoiding a ticket (they cause a fault in the laser signal).
