Brown wood trim options

Hi,

I'm considering ordering an E63s wagon in brilliant blue Magno with nut brown leather (although the grey Magno is an enticing option as I think it would be easier to keep clean). There are various brown wood options but I've never seen any in person. Does anyone have any insight on what might look best with the nut brown interior? I like the idea of the open pore, but it looks very light on the MB site. Any and all input is greatly appreciated.

I don’t care for the “natural” woods, as they look unfinished to me. I wanted MB’s burl walnut trim, but they weren’t offering it on the E63S, so I went with the one glossy choice of Brown Ash. While a little darker than I’d have preferred, it turned out great and looks awesome with the Macchiato interior.

Thanks for your insight. When I test drove one with the carbon fibre trim I found it so reflective it was distracting. Most people must not feel the same but that's one of the reasons I was considering the natural finish. I guess I should try and see some in person.

FWIW, I haven’t seen a single reflection off the trim in almost 2K miles - and that’s here in sunny central Florida. At least with the glossy brown ash, it’s a complete non-factor; if you like the appearance, order it and don’t look back.

2018 E63s wagon [now sold] (& lots of Subarus)
My '18 E63 wagon has the nut brown leather and the natural brown wood trim. Honestly I think it looks amazing, the wood is a flat/matte finish and has wonderful texture to it, which the only downside I see is if it gets dirty (like grease or food) it would be harder to clean than a gloss trim.

volvo
I recently moved from a 2017 Volvo S90 to a 2025 Mercedes E350 (Nappa leather, Pinnaccle trim). The 2017 Volvo had a very nice interior with real leather, Scandinavian wood etc. The new Volvo's are mostly available with recycled materials.
