Xpel stealth on gloss paint?
Has anyone done this? Is it better to just do a vehicle wrap? I have a black wagon and have been considering getting Xpel ppf installed. It occurred to me that perhaps the stealth would be a way to change the look of the car. I suppose edges that cannot be fully wrapped would be an issue. Just wondering if anyone has any input?

I see it done frequently and I was considering it for my car, but ultimately decided against it. Somebody on here just got their wagon wrapped in XPEL Stealth. My reason to decide against it ultimately were two fold. I realized that I'm not really all that keen on the matte look. Less and less actually the more cars I see. The reflections in glossy paint, especially with a dark color like Obsidian black are more stunning, IMO. Secondly, if you really want it done well and not have any glossy remains come through it gets very expensive. I suppose it depends on how picky you are about it. It's more difficult to cover all the bits you only see when opening the doors etc. for example with PPF, because the film is less malleable than a vinyl wrap. Sharp edges especially are problematic with PPF, and it's not uncommon for the film to peel in those places after a while.

Xpel stealth on obsidian black metallic on my old car. Any decent shop can wrap to the edges. The satin look is from the metallic flakes. It doesn’t look nearly as good on the non metallic black. Highly recommended.
Can always ask a shop to just put a piece on the hood to see how it looks.
