Renntech EVM Install

Anyone have a video or pictures of how they installed this, specifically the part where you run the wires to the valves? I read a couple comments on here saying that the wires get pretty close to the heat shield and exhaust and I don't want these overpriced wires melting on me. There's some conflicting comments on here, some saying they had to use a lift and zip-tie the wires, others saying they didn't...Also I don't know if it's just my mechanically illiterate a**, but the instructions they provided look near worthless lol

I zipped tied them to keep them away from the hot exhaust. Make sure you unplug the stock wires from the exhaust valve and not further down or it won’t work correctly. The wires are tough to access with your hands and the clips were difficult for me. I was able to get it though with some perseverance.

I can take some pics tomorrow if that would help.

Here you go. Let me know if you need anything else. Pretty much just using the exhaust supports as a point to tie to.

Sorry to revive an old thread, did you do this install using jackstands? That's what I'm planning to do but it looks a little tight.

I read that you had issues with the plugs... any pointers or tricks on it? Push the back and pull out?

THank you

I had to lift the car so I could pull the heat shields, so yes, use jack stands. And now that you mention it, the plugs were a huge PIA. I think it was because I couldn't really see the plug and therefore couldn't figure out how to release the plug. I believe the driver side plug was a tad easier to see or get to so I had to figure that one out first as the passenger side plug is up high and not easily visible. Had to just feel it to disconnect. It's been a few years but hopefully this helps.
