I've scoured the forums looking for some technique to remove the Mercedes star (with radar behind it) from the grill on my E63 but I didin't find a whole lot. Some say that you can twist it counter-clockwise, but mine literally will not budge and naturally I'm afraid I will apply too much pressure and break something. Some others have said the radar star can only be unclipped from the back after removing the grill... does anyone have any verifiable info on how to remove this star without breaking anything?

Bump for some more visibility. I found this video on removing the start on a non-AMG W213 where he is twisting the start counter-clockwise (at 0:22):

I tried this method but the start would not budge at all....
I also read some mention in another thread that warming up the edges of the star with a heat gun can help dislodge it. I just bought a heat gun to try that, will report back with results.
