Have you ordered this? When I called the retailer, he didn’t seem as confident that this was the right part. Offered to let me buy it and return it without restocking fee if it doesn’t work out, so I’m tempted to try it.

I have not. That's the only part number I could find as it pertains to a carbon wagon diffuser. If it's not right, you can always return it.
The carbon diffuser is part of the AMG Exterior carbon fiber package so don’t see any specific part number for the carbon fiber diffuser however I can offer you the VIN so your parts department can look up the VIN and get the carbon fiber diffuser part number from there:
