I really love this car. It’s a CPO 2019. It is my daily driver and it is Very different from from my 2018 JLU Rubicon I traded for it. I loved the Rubi but like to switch things up a bit too much, but that’s me. I have had my eyes on a convertible for a while and this one popped up at a fairly local dealer. The Lunar Blue is beautiful. I loved the crackle and pops of the exhaust but after a while it is just a little too much “farting” at shift points. I wish I could keep the louder part and turn down the snap, crackle and pop a bit. The car is fast and the engine is very smooth. I do think about the 63s cars but they don’t offer that in a Cabrio I can afford, so , oh well, I have to live with a “not real AMG”. In three months I have still not floored it to see how fast it really is. Very few places around me where that could happen except the Parkway and out west a bit. Gripes, yes, the transmission and its programming. It tries to get to 9th gear asap and it is so annoying. Even in Sport+. This car wants to drive around at 1500 RPM all the time. Great for MPG I’m sure, but takes away from the driving experience. Another gripe is forum activity and parts. I have had three Porsches and for enthusiasts, there is so much more. The 63S buyers have much better forum presence and parts too. Next, I really like my dash better than my wife’s 2020 GLC. I am not a fan of the newer look of iPads stuck on dash’s . There is a new SL that has a god awful huge screen stuck on the dash. Might stop me from buying it. It snowed 5 inches last night here in Jersey. Had a chance to go drive in the snow and try out this 4Matic with my new Vredstein Wintrac Pro snow tires. I did a Tire Rack 19 inch package with staggered MSW wheels. Not runflats. I looked at MB AMG wheels but could not justify the cost for winter. These wheels were inexpensive. Made by OZ, a company I always liked. I am sure they are made in China, as most lower cost aftermarket wheels are. I scraped the right front already ( ha, another story) and ordered a backup for $153 . Really. Close out. I should order another rear. This car is a beast in the snow. The tires are just plain excellent in case anyone is looking. It is way better than my Rubicon, but I expected that. I almost could not make it slide!
