So, I haven't been driving my wagon much lately and of course I'm getting the low battery issue. Even though the temperature is about 37 degrees I took it for a drive today (summer tires). When I first started it the message " surround cameras inoperative" appeared and when I got back from a 30 minute drive it still came up. I observed that the mirrors are not folding in when the ignition is turned off and the dash stays lit with the radio on even when I open the driver door to get out. Would resetting to factory defaults help or is this a dealership call? Should I just put a battery charger on it? By the way, the car runs fine but I also noticed that the turn signal (left turn) blinks very fast on the dash but is normal speed on the front and rear lights while the right turn signal on the dash is normal speed.

 

Sounds like it’s your main battery is too low. The easiest and fastest way is to plug in the charger and let it charge overnight and that should do the trick. If not, have you service department take α look and have the main battery replaced under warranty. Good luck.

 

My faulty battery did that and more with messages. Even if you charged it back to full, these kinds of faults may come back.

Do give the above poster’s method a try first though.

 

Turn signal blinking fast in dash it is a sign that one of the bulbs is out . Seems like the signal in mirror is out .

 

Thanks for your replies! I just went out and fired it up and everything is now working correctly including the fast blinking left turn signal. Go figure. Tomorrow I'm going to put it on a battery charger though because, as you've stated, it's probably the battery. Thanks again all!
