I wish we could get someone in the states to do this comparison. The european version has the OPF and we don't. Luckily I was able to score a stock performance exhaust from a 2018 wagon and plan to install it on my 2021 as soon as I get it. I will try to record a before and after.

 

Yes, the european version of the 2021 E63s has OPF and was said to be quieter than the preface 2018-2020 E63s, but my question is why are you replacing your incoming 2021E63s with a 2018 performance exhaust. They are the same exhaust setup, 2021 vs 2018? When I purchased my 2020 CPO E63s wagon, i did test drive both ( 2021 E63s ) and did α side by side quick revs and couldn’t tell the difference from the exhausts.

 

Well maybe I waisted some time and money purchasing a 2018 exhaust but from every video I have seen it appears that the pre face lift 2018/19 cars were louder then the 2021. I am unsure of how a 2020 compares to the 18-19. If they are exactly the same when I change the exhaust maybe I will cut out the internal baffling in one of the exhausts to hunt for more volume.

 

I know 2018-2020 E63s North American models have the same exhaust so I guess we will find out if 2021 E63s exhaust is the same as the 2018-2020 E63s. If aftermarket exhaust system or downpipes is not being consider, maybe do α resonator or muffler delete to get more exhaust volume, might be easier than cutting out the internal baffling imo.
