Sorry you're having this trouble. What kind of roads are you travelling on? I'm not aware of any court cases for radiator punctures. My experiences with my previous 2018 E63S was that the MB furnished grids seemed to have stopped various debris and stones.

False alarm! i travel on country roads lanes and motorways, i had the car running as i hadn't used for a week and the car cleaner comes every Friday I saw steam coming from the rad and as i have already had a punctured trans rad just thought FFS. looked the next day fair bit of debris and straw so blew all of it out with the compressor left running then it dawned on me the straw had got wet from the car being cleaned hence the steam so was the wet straw steaming .

Thanks for sharing. MBUSA did a recall on 2018 and some 2019 E63S builds to retrofit the radiator grids that were missing from production. Some people were reimbursed for penetration damage where the grids were missing and that they paid out of pocket for the repairs.

why is it that every time nw66 posts, despite few words / lines, the actual text box is about 47000 lines long???? Is this a function of his/her signature?and if so - can it be fixed?

Just put nw66 on your ignore list. It works really well.
Fitted these from zundsport fitment was really good downside expensive and over all look not sure of yet but if they save another rad being punctured then so be it! bizarrely the rad that got punctured before was the trans rad which is directly in front of the main grille which has no protection at all! i fitted a mesh behind this grille so hopefully wont happen again
