Hi Everyone!

i just purchased a preowned 2017 e43 amg 4matic. soon after, i have noticed a noticeable humming noise from the rear under part of the car when doing slow turns such as turning left and right in a parking lot.

is this normal on 4matic vehicles? To be honest, i also noticed this on my CLA45 AMG which also has 4 matic on it.

my e43 have no other issues other than that, it drives well, no noises when driving and speeding, left and right turns on toll roads. No concerning noise at all. Just humming noises when turning slow on parking lots or going into my driveway.

brought it to the dealer and everything checks out fine, scanned it and theres no fault codes. Sadly havent had the chance to bring the mechanic for a test drive.

Have a 2018 and no noise when turning.

Are you talking about normal road turns or slow turns like the ones you do on a parking lot?

Heard the noise last night driving top down through downtown. Sped up to about 80kmh and it got really loud. Tapped the brakes and it stopped. It’s definitely from the brakes.

mine doesn't do it on speeds above 50km/h.. just slow turns maybe 5-30 km/h
