I received a notice from MB that there is a safety recall for my 2021 E63s. It is regarding the hand detection control unit software on models with heated leather steering wheel. Wondering if anyone has had the update done and how long it took.

 

It's just a software update and took about half an hour for me. I've only tried adaptive cruise once since to test it out, but didn't really notice any increased warning to put my hands on the wheel, so it doesn't seem to be too drastic of a change.

 

Thanks for the response. I don't use the adaptive cruise as I don't drive it often on long trips. The closest dealership is an hour and a half away and was hoping it wouldn't turn into an all day affair for the update.
