Programing ECU and dealer direct / factor remote updates
I am looking at programing the ECU to give me Multibeam Intelligent Head Lights and Race mode in my E53.

When the dealer preforms a software upgrade or MB remotely preforms an upgrade, is the entire system reset so I have to do the upgrade again or does the software upgrade only upgrade the modules that it needs to upgrade.

I had it go both ways with cars and upgrades in the past.

Can someone with experience in this chime in and let me know what to expect?

Yes, but I want to hear from people who have added features via OBDII uploads.
