I’ve been saying this for a while now…no way the successor to the AMG Hammer dies a sudden and quiet death. Been looking forward to a last shot at a W213 V8 wagon after my 2022 turned into an E450.

But matte paint and CF interior trim? No thanks…

Two of the most popular options among the hardcore, which this edition is made for.

My source confirms the V8 is done. Sad day indeed, blame Mercedes not figuring out EV's much earlier. I don't care if the W214 is Plaid fast I'm not buying a 4 cylinder AMG.

Exactly this. It’s an AMG, the old men that don’t want CF and matte paint can stick to their E450s or S classes lol.

I need to start looking for another M177 car since it looks like they’re going to be increasingly harder to find.

If by hardcore you mean those that completely missed the point of the original concept, and enjoy played out design fads, then I agree completely!

Nope! Me neither. One reason I’m not in a GLE53 either (among other reasons too).

Fads? CF interiors have been around for over 30 years, matte finishes have been around for over ten. They may be fads if you're a boomer, but they're both here to stay and an inherent part of car culture at this point.

Lol my parents are boomers…can’t think of any cars with decorative CF interiors 30 years ago…993 Turbo S is first I can remember…as lame now as it was then, IMO. Same with go-faster stripes on a 4,500lb sedan. But, hey, if it’s your thing, go for it…

EVO UK stating no official decision made public on next gen E63 engine, I believe they will go with the V8 PHEV

We are a long way from knowing the answer to that. I would guess about 200.

2018 E63s Wagon
I called my local dealer to order a "final Edition" and was told it isn't orderable at this point. He said he didn't even know they were making one in a limited edition version. He said he will contact me if they get one in. There is no way to know how many are coming stateside, and or where they are going to end up. How can you release a limited production run, but not have a way to order one in and secure the spot in line with a bonafide deposit?

So this is what will most likely happen. Dealers who do magically get an allocation, will add an insane "market" adjustment and box loyalists like me ( I am on my 4th E-AMG..E55/E63 W211/W212/W213 wagon owner) out with a mark up over sticker I am not willing to pay.
One thing is for certain, seeing a final edition in person in the US will be like seeing a white elephant.

If anyone has a contact at Mercedes AMG North America that knows how to get one of these cars without the bullschitt dealership allocation games and mark up, hit me up.

This has not been confirmed for the US yet.
For 2023, only the E53 Coupe & Cabriolet have been confirmed so far.

No wagon AFAIK. Might also be not configurable as well. The 1st edition E63S were a bit of a mix of 2017 and 2018 features. I can't imagine what this last edition might be like.

And the two you mentioned aren't "final editions" bidding farewell to the ever amazing 4 Liter V8 that is unreal. I have a 2018. The W213 wagon is the best car in the world period. There isn't anything it can't do. Watch the youtube videos and you will see how many call it the most versatile overall car in the world.

I wouldn't confuse CF trim with structural CF which also happens to be visible. CF trim does nothing to save weight or increase strength, but if it floats your boat appearance-wise, then go for it. Matte paint is trendy, but will die out eventually because of maintenance/upkeep. Personally I don't think it looks as good as either metallic or non-metallic paint (which is indeed making a comeback) but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Had Arabian Gray or China Blue been available without a $12k or so surcharge, I would have gone with one of them.

Do we know if there will actually be a 2023 model year for the US? Seems like dealer should be getting order guides by now if 2023 was going to happen.

2021 AMG E63s Wagon
Everybody Wants to Rule the World

What will be cheaper a limited 2023 AMG E63s Final Edition or generic 2023 AMG S73e with 800+ hp?

I might want to step up even though the E63s V8 will sound better (judging by the GT63s E review on YouTube) but would keep my Legacy 2021 AMG Wagon. Not getting any younger although was astonished that Tears for Fears is back on Tour!
