Hi guys,

Just got my.(used) E63S about a week ago. I love the car, but when you roll down the windows to enjoy the sound, there is a very pronounced ratlling/farting sound especially at low revs or low load. It is only audible from the side of the car and it seems louder inside the car than when standing outside (the sound is being drowned out by the exhaust system). It sounds sort of like an exhaust leak but I was wondiering if anyone has experienced something similar? When the windows are up you can’t hear it at all inside.

I got the car a week ago and we are on a two week road trip in it through Europe so I can’t get it to a garage until we get back so I’m hoping someone has experienced the same and can give an idea what it takes to repair it.

I haven't experience this and I'm wondering if your car has previously had the exhaust modified. It would be best for you to take it to a shop and get it on a lift.
